ORTHO Tree & Shrub is a broad-spectrum insecticide that kills many insects infesting ornamental plants, trees and shrubs growing in landscape or containers. It is a systemic product and will be taken up by the root system and transported through the plant. PESTS CONTROLLED: adelgids, aphids, borers (including emerald ash borer), fungus gnats, lacebugs, leafhoppers, leaf beetles (excluding Asian longhorned beetles), leafminers, mealybugs, psyllids, root weevils, scales, thrips, whiteflies, and white grubs. WHERE TO USE: Outdoors on newly planted or established ornamental plants, trees, shrubs in landscape or containers. For Emerald Ash Borers apply when EAB has been found within 15 miles of ash trees you want to treat. WHEN TO USE: When insects begin to appear. When trees are actively growing with sufficient water. HOW TO APPLY: Water in granules immediately after application with a sufficient volume of water to wet the soil to a depth of 3-4 inches. Before application, pull back any mulch or weed barrier that will inhibit even spreading and watering in of granules. Brush or wash off any granules adhering to the plant foilage. WHAT TO USE ON: For use on shade trees and other ornamental trees, including listed fruit and nut trees: Apple, Crabapple, Loquat, Mayhaw, Oriental Pear, Pear, Pecan, Quince.
